Rental Conditions

 

  1. Age and Driving License

    Minimum rental age is 21 with at least 1 year of a valid driving license. For mid-size and upper-class vehicles, requirements may vary. Maximum rental age is 75. Drivers above 75 must contact us before booking. Only physical European or International driving licenses are accepted. Digital licenses are not valid.

  2. Rental Period and Grace Time

    Rental is calculated per 24 hours (daily), 7 days (weekly), and 30 days (monthly). A grace period of 2 hours applies; exceeding this will result in an extra day charge. Reservations delayed by more than 2 hours may be cancelled.

  3. Payment and Deposit

    The rental fee must be paid in advance by cash or credit card at the time of contract. A deposit is blocked on the renter’s credit card. Deposits are released within 21 business days after vehicle return. Deposits are authorizations, not sales transactions.

  4. Fuel Policy

    The fuel level must match at pick-up and drop-off. Missing fuel will be charged plus a service fee.

  5. Mileage and Usage

    Mileage limits may vary depending on the vehicle, and detailed information can be obtained from our office. If the specified mileage limit is exceeded, an additional fee will apply. The vehicle may only be used on paved roads; off-road use is strictly prohibited. The vehicle may only leave the country to destinations permitted by our company, and purchasing the Europe Package is mandatory for international travel. For rentals made in Turkey, crossing the border is not allowed and the vehicle may only be driven within Turkey.

  6. Traffic Fines and Extra Costs

    All traffic fines, tolls, and bridge fees are the responsibility of the renter.

  7. Authorized Driver

    The vehicle may only be driven by the renter. Additional drivers must meet the same age and license conditions and must be added to the rental contract.

  8. Insurance and Damage Handling

    Vehicles are insured. If insurance is purchased, a police report is sufficient in case of accident. Damage excess fees apply per incident.

  9. Accident and Damage Notification

    The renter must immediately inform Akko Autovermietung GmbH of any accident, damage, or technical issue.

  10. Key and Document Loss

    In case of key or registration document loss, a penalty fee will be applied.

  11. Vehicle Cleanliness & Pets

    Smoking inside the car is prohibited. If violated, cleaning and disinfection fees apply. Pet-related dirt or hair will also incur cleaning charges.

  12. Vehicle Return

    Early returns are non-refundable. Late returns will be charged per extra hour or as one full rental day if exceeding 24 hours. The vehicle must be parked securely and locked when not in use.

  13. Hidden Damage

    Damages detected after vehicle return (e.g., underbody, bumper interior) will be charged to the renter.

  14. Force Majeure

    Akko Autovermietung GmbH is not liable for cancellations or delays due to force majeure such as wars, strikes, natural disasters, or government restrictions.

Documents required at vehicle pick-up:

  • Valid driver’s license: A valid driver’s license in Turkey is sufficient.

  • ID card or passport: You must present an official ID card or passport when renting a car. Identity verification is required for security and legal reasons.

  • Credit card: A valid credit card is required for the deposit at the time of pick-up. The deposit amount depends on the car category. For example, €350 is blocked for small cars, while higher amounts apply to mid-size and luxury vehicles. This practice is standard across all Rent a Car companies.

  • Reservation confirmation: If you booked online, bringing your email confirmation will speed up the process.
